Lynne Holmes, founder of Desert Rose, successfully released her debut album; Sands of Time in Feb 2000 with the pseudonym of Desert Rose when she was signed up with a London based record company, Passion Music. The album was released internationally from London and after 15 years it is still selling internationally in more than 20 countries. The album is a unique world music interpretation of indigenous Khoisan culture and other indigenous cultures throughout the world. The single, San Song reached no.3 on the top 20 in South Africa and remained on the charts for 4 months. The album was rated one of the top 20 albums in South Africa in 2001.
